Job summary

Genentech is seeking an Executive Director, Workplace Strategy to lead the end-to-end delivery of workplace solutions for the South San Francisco campus and satellite sites. The role focuses on setting direction, cross-functional alignment, and disciplined execution across a large portfolio.

You will define a long-term workplace vision aligned with corporate strategies and act as a strategic connector across leadership teams to deliver an employee-centric, science-enabled workplace experience.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience at senior leadership level.
• 5+ years at the project/program management level.
• 10+ years at the senior leadership/executive level.
• Proven senior leadership experience in Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate or Workplace Strategy.
• Significant campus experience; lab and research project experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise workplace strategy for the South San Francisco campus and associated sites, setting long-term vision and investment roadmaps.
• Provide executive leadership to the integrated Workplace Delivery organization (50+ employees plus contingent workforce and vendors).
• Shape the operating model for Workplace Delivery to enable agility and accountability across the portfolio.
• Provide strategic direction to the Design Studio responsible for interior architecture, lab and technical design.
• Oversee real estate and portfolio strategy for transactions, asset acquisition/divestment, infrastructure, and lease strategy.
• Direct the delivery of all workplaces across office, labs, manufacturing, and infrastructure to meet business outcomes, scope, budget, and schedule.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders translating portfolio strategies into integrated workplace solutions.
• Act as a connector to Genentech and Roche leadership on workplace and real estate matters.
