Job summary

Genentech is seeking a visionary, enterprise-minded senior leader to lead Project Management within Workplace Delivery at the South San Francisco campus. The role will set vision, strategy, and execution standards for the organization, overseeing a large team of project managers and leaders delivering a broad portfolio of capital projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in project and program management
• 5+ years in senior project management roles leading complex capital projects
• Proven track record in real estate development, campus/urban planning, and capital program development
• Construction management experience and greenfield development experience preferred
• Experience on large, complex campus environments and working with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level leadership for a large, diverse project management organization
• Build, develop, and lead a large team of project managers and leaders
• Own end-to-end delivery of a broad capital project portfolio (scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, compliance)
• Chair or participate in governance bodies (e.g., Project Review Committee, Capital Governance Committees)
• Promote a strong safety culture in partnership with EHS and target zero incidents
• Develop strategic external partnerships to support permitting, issue resolution, and escalation
• Ensure compliance with directives, local codes, procurement guidelines, and sustainability practices (e.g., LEED)
