Job summary

OpenAI for Government seeks an experienced strategy and business operations leader to steer growth across government customers. You will shape market and revenue plans, coordinate across matrixed teams, and drive secure, compliant deployments of frontier AI.

You will manage advisor networks, forecast space and security needs, and partner with leadership to deliver tangible programs and outcomes for public institutions. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategy consulting, business operations, or comparable work combining analytical problem-solving with execution ownership.
• Ability to build financial models, size markets, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Comfort interpreting government budgets and using market intelligence to inform long-term investments.

Responsibilities

• Support growth and maturation of a business operations and revenue strategy function within OpenAI for Government.
• Build and maintain an intelligence picture for key territories, including priorities, budgets, and incumbents.
• Act as a thought partner to business verticals, participate in weekly discussions, and run quarterly reviews.
• Forecast secure-space needs with the industrial security team and coordinate access and compliance.
• Support OpenAI's Government Innovation Network and advisory board through lifecycle processes.
• Design and run regular advisor meetings and ensure insights influence OpenAI for Government strategy.
• Define problems, develop options, and lead early execution on special projects.
