Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a driven solutions leader to partner with public sector customers and deliver tangible GenAI value. You will architect, prototype, and scale applications using the OpenAI API, Codex, and allied services, coordinating with sales, solutions engineering, and product teams.

You will work with federal, state, and local agencies to define an AI roadmap, manage complex backlogs, and guide deployments from prototype to production, ensuring secure, compliant, and impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical consulting experience with public sector customers (U.S. federal preferred).
• GenAI or ML implementations for government agencies with partners.
• Understanding of network and cloud architecture, including on-prem deployments.
• Effective communicator who translates business and technical topics to all audiences.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Own problems end-to-end and willingness to learn as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deeply embed with our public sector customers as the technical lead to ideate and build GenAI applications on our API and OpenAI technologies.
• Identify the best applications and build a comprehensive backlog to support the AI roadmap.
• Deliver hands-on prototypes or strategic guidance to accelerate time-to-value with partners.
• Forge and manage relationships with customer and partner leadership to ensure deployment success at scale.
• Contribute to open-source developer and enterprise resources.
