Job summary

Arc XP, a division of The Washington Post, is seeking an experienced operations leader in Washington, DC to partner with the President on day-to-day business operations and align priorities across the organization. This full-time role supports planning cycles, leadership meetings, and cross-functional coordination to drive efficiency and executive decision-making.

You will track initiatives, surface risks, and implement practical improvements to processes and workflows, enabling better execution

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, program coordination, business operations, or chief-of-staff–like roles.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Clear and effective communication across teams.
• Ability to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and follow through on execution.
• Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the President on day-to-day business operations, aligning priorities, workflows, and communication across the organization.
• Support planning cycles, leadership meetings, and team cadences.
• Help track key initiatives and commitments, surfacing risks or delays.
• Coordinate cross-functional work by clarifying dependencies, timelines, and next steps across teams.
• Prepare materials and structure for leadership discussions to support clear, efficient decision-making.
• Identify operational inefficiencies or gaps and recommend practical improvements to processes and workflows.
• Support execution of cross-functional projects that improve organizational effectiveness and team alignment.
• Partner with Finance and other functions to support planning, tracking, and coordination of business activities.
• Improve internal communication by ensuring updates, decisions, and priorities are clearly documented and shared.
• Help introduce tools, workflows, or lightweight automation that improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
