Job summary

The Washington Post, through its Arc XP division, seeks an Executive Operations Manager in Washington, DC to partner with the President on day-to-day operations and drive organizational effectiveness. This role focuses on strategy, execution, and cross-functional alignment in a growing SaaS business.

You will help set rhythms, track initiatives, and improve workflows, ensuring priorities translate into action and results.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, program coordination, business operations, or chief-of-staff–like roles.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Clear and effective communication skills, especially when coordinating across teams.
• Ability to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and follow through on execution.
• Sound judgment and discretion when working with sensitive or confidential information.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the President on day-to-day business operations, aligning priorities and workflows across the organization.
• Support the operating rhythm of the business, including planning cycles, leadership meetings, and team cadences.
• Track key initiatives and commitments, ensuring follow-through and surfacing risks or delays.
• Coordinate cross-functional work by clarifying dependencies, timelines, and next steps.
• Prepare materials for leadership discussions to support clear decision-making.
• Identify inefficiencies or gaps and recommend improvements to processes and workflows.
• Support execution of cross-functional projects to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Partner with Finance and other functions to support planning and coordination of activities.
• Improve internal communication by documenting and sharing updates, decisions, and priorities.
• Introduce tools or lightweight automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
