Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Network Implementation Program Manager to plan, schedule and oversee engineering and construction of Outside plant facilities in Omaha and surrounding market. You will coordinate vendors, manage budgets, schedules and quality to ensure on-time delivery.

This role reports to the SR MGR Local Network Implementation and requires strong project management, vendor relations, and the ability to navigate multiple systems and stakeholders across a lean, growth-minded team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and 2-3 years of experience.
• Fully seasoned with typically 5+ years professional experience.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience reading construction drawings, prints and civil plans.
• Knowledge about construction methods (Aerial, buried, underground, intra-buildings).

Responsibilities

• End to end project management from planning and engineering through construction completion, using vendors and overseeing units, pricing and billing.
• Relationship building with internal departments, vendors, municipalities and customers.
• Quality audits of work performed by vendors.
• Balance workload among resources.
• Functional management of a market.
• Field interface with customers, contractors and municipal entities for engineering or construction.
• Attend scheduled calls or on-site meetings as needed.
• Create and approve purchase orders and invoices.
• Use external vendors for network expansion, fiber builds, relocations or replacements.
