Job summary

Amgen seeks a National Account Manager, Market Access Employer Engagement, to manage a strategic portfolio of jumbo employers in the US. You will engage with benefits leaders, consultants, and PBMs to optimize access and patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based discussions, collaboration with HEOR and strategy teams, and scalable employer capabilities. You will develop account plans, lead senior-level conversations, and ensure compliant engagement models while driving access progress

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years in sales/market access or payer
• Master's degree with 4 years
• Bachelor's degree with 6 years
• Associate's degree with 10 years
• High school diploma with 12 years relevant experience
• 3+ years in customer-facing strategic account management or market access
• Travel domestically up to 60% including overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Own a strategic regional portfolio of jumbo employer accounts and craft account plans.
• Build senior-level relationships with employer benefits leaders and consultants.
• Lead discussions on obesity benefit design, access, and affordability within Amgen strategy.
• Identify access opportunities and coordinate internal resources for engagement.
• Translate clinical/economic evidence into value discussions for customers.
• Develop employer-facing tools and market insights to support launch readiness.
• Monitor trends in employer benefits and provide decision-ready insights.
• Represent Amgen at employer, consultant and coalition meetings.
• Maintain CRM hygiene and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Support field sales when needed to resolve billing and coding issues.
