Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Customer Supply Chain Planner to manage inventory for National Account locations, optimize stock levels, and ensure high in-stock availability. The role links customers, account teams, and category management to translate sales and inventory data into actionable replenishment decisions.

You will analyze trends, manage master data, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive demand planning, lead times, and order cycles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, replenishment, or demand planning; retail or vendor-managed inventory (VMI) experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent decision-making skills coupled with ability to make informed data-driven choices.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage inventory across multiple customer accounts and locations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/inventory planning systems; data visualization skills with Tableau/Power BI are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory for National Account locations, optimize inventory and maintain high in-stock availability.
• Ensure timely replenishment ordering based on established order frequency and monitor fill rates.
• Review alerts and analyze replenishment exceptions; identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze sales history and trends to develop forecasting insights and adjust demand plans.
• Collaborate with external customers and internal teams on seasonal changes and product lifecycle transitions.
• Maintain accurate store/SKU master data including min/max, safety stock, lead times, and order cycles.
• Generate and present key metrics (in-stock rate, inventory turns, weeks of supply, forecast accuracy, fill rate).
• Support automated order replenishment rollout and monitor performance; adjust as needed.
• Execute replenishment across additional National Account locations as VMI expands.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and support process-improvement initiatives.
