Job summary

Trustmark Corporation in Birmingham seeks a Middle Market & Corporate Banking Manager I/II to strategically lead the unit, drive loan growth, deposits, and cross-sell opportunities while upholding regulatory standards and risk controls.

You will work with senior management to develop regional strategies, expand client base, and strengthen the Trustmark brand through high-quality service and disciplined credit practices.

Qualifications

• Four-year college education required.
• 10+ years in middle market and corporate banking lending or equivalent.
• 8+ years managing loan portfolios.
• Extensive knowledge of local market.
• Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations.
• Experience with capital markets and loan syndications.
• Pricing models, profitability forecasting, and credit analysis knowledge.
• Supervisory/management experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff to achieve division and corporate goals through loan growth, deposits, cash management services, and cross sell to other product lines.
• Expand and monitor customer relationships through referrals & quality service of the department.
• Business calls to customers and prospects individually & with staff to provide quality customer service, trust, and identify new business opportunities.
• Review loan applications for compliance with income, assets, credit history and other factors.
• Develop structuring and financing recommendations tailored to client needs.
• Develop and execute market strategies for market growth and retention.
• Responsible for increasing portfolios for middle market & corporate banking businesses.
• Keep abreast of changes in the marketplace that could impact the client’s business and actively communicate those changes.
• Staff Development via coaching/training.
• Explore opportunities and recommend strategies for cross selling of products and services based on understanding of client analysis and needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
