Job summary

Adient is seeking a Materials Manager to lead material planning, inventory management, and logistics to ensure uninterrupted production flow. You will optimize BOM data, manage supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement in cost and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, ERP/MRP expertise, and a track record in automotive materials operations. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 5+ years of materials management, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience leading supervisors and hourly staff.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planning, BOM maintenance, and inventory optimization.
• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics and supplier performance.
• Manage receiving, shipping, and material handling procedures.
• Develop and monitor department KPIs and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Coach and develop Materials Floor Supervisors and staff.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across materials operations.
