Job summary

Adient plc is seeking a Materials Scheduler/Service Coordinator in Lakewood to oversee planning, scheduling, and tracking of material flow across production. You will align shipments with schedules, issue material releases, and maintain a robust demand production plan while collaborating with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.

The role focuses on achieving 100% on-time delivery, managing inventory, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge in Supply Chain Management.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and specialized software.
• PC software skills and QAD knowledge preferred.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, scheduling, and tracking of material flow.
• Align inventory shipments with production schedules and objectives.
• Develop and maintain the demand production schedule.
• Issue material releases and manage demand, schedules, and customer service.
• Collaborate with customers, purchasing, production, and engineering teams.
• Maintain supply chain parameters to achieve 100% on-time delivery.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Serve as liaison between manufacturing operations and customers.
• Notify Materials Manager of potential shortages promptly.
• Obtain approvals for expedited freight or non-direct supplier procurement.
• Ensure accuracy of service components and obsolescence management.
• Manage customer portal tickets and respond to requests.
• Complete all required Adient training and safety procedures.
