Job summary

Adient US LLC in Lakewood, OH is seeking a Materials Scheduler/Service Coordinator to plan, schedule, and track material flow across the production process. You will coordinate with suppliers, customers, inventory teams and production management to ensure materials meet production timelines and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge in Supply Chain Management.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and specialized software (QAD preferred).
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule materials, manage inventory, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure material flow.
• Issue material releases and manage demand, production schedules, and customer service.
• Collaborate with customers, purchasing, production, and engineering for launches and long-term needs.
• Maintain supply chain parameters to achieve on-time delivery and buffer inventory.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Serve as liaison between manufacturing operations and customers.
• Notify Materials Manager of potential shortages.
• Obtain approvals for expedited freight or non-direct supplier procurement.
• Ensure accuracy of service components and obsolescence management.
• Manage customer portal tickets and respond to requests.
• Complete training required by Adient and customers.
