Job summary

Adient is seeking a Materials Planner for the Avanzar San Antonio Facility to establish MRP parameters and maintain production software systems. You will manage supplier releases, incoming material shipments, inventory levels, and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring supplier performance, maintaining BOM data, seeking cost reductions in transportation and inventory, and ensuring compliance with BOS/TS requirements while

Qualifications

• Experience with MRP and production software systems.
• Knowledge of supplier releases, receiving documents, and inventory control.
• Ability to maintain BOM data and ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Establish the data base parameters for MRP and related production software systems.
• Establish and maintain business practices, procedures and documentation for supplier releases, incoming material shipments, receiving documents, inventory levels, material storage and movement.
• Manage and monitor subordinate activities ensuring accuracy and integrity of materials record keeping.
• Set goals to reduce transportation, packaging, and inventory costs.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Maintain BOM data and implement changes to BOM and loading of new end items.
• Minimize inventory and address obsolescence when appropriate.
• Maintain excellent supplier relations including delivery performance.
• Review subordinate performance for training and development per company policy.
• Ensure compliance with all company customs processes and BOS/TS requirements.
