Job summary

Adient US LLC is seeking an Assistant Materials Manager in Normal, IL to supervise Master Schedulers and Material Analysts, focusing on transportation and inventory needs. You will lead data integrity, cost-saving initiatives, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Supply Chain or related field and 3+ years in materials management with MRP knowledge; ERP experience (QAD/SAP) and strong Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain or related field.
• 3+ years in Materials Management with MRP knowledge.
• ERP systems experience, preferably QAD and SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent contact with customers to sustain positive relationships and open communication.
• Ensure reporting and auditing requirements are met by contributing to TS16949 certification and training.
• Ensure data integrity through adequate stock control systems.
• Participate with new launch teams to manage materials and logistics requirements.
• Support a cost-effective logistics and inventory strategy; drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Develop strategies and methods for inventory control and MRP parameters.
• Back up Materials Manager as required.
