Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Material Project Manager to lead material strategy across programs in the Global Supply Chain. The role spans managing POs, resolving delays, and driving supplier accountability while engaging senior leaders on risk and cost opportunities.

You will partner with manufacturing to review requisitions, manage procurement through receipt and payment, and support continuous improvements in sourcing and operations. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years in material project management or procurement in defense or aerospace.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Expert knowledge of industry practices and standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of material strategy by managing open purchase orders and supplier accountability.
• Interface between Leidos and key suppliers, escalating delivery risks and resolving issues.
• Prepare program metrics data and summaries for senior leaders and management.
• Manage procurements through approval processes and documentation.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and drive improvements with cross-functional teams.
