Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Material Project Manager for the Global Supply Chain team in Huntsville, Alabama. You will lead material strategy across programs, manage open purchase orders, resolve delays, and hold suppliers accountable—aligning with contract requirements and program goals.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and program teams, manage procurement from requisition through receipt, and contribute to risk mitigation, cost control, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• BA degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience or Masters with 10–13 years in material project management, procurement, or supply chain within Defense, Aerospace, or high‑complexity industries.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and related systems along with material procurement.
• Experience with risk management and supplier negotiations in complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of material strategy across the program by managing open purchase orders, resolving delays, and driving supplier accountability.
• Act as the primary interface between Leidos and key suppliers, escalating delivery risks and ensuring adherence to contractual requirements.
• Provide summary metrics and participate in program reviews and procurement approvals.
