AspenTech in the United States is seeking a senior leader to drive market research for our industrial software business. You will design and execute market research programs to inform product strategy, GTM decisions and business development priorities.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus
10+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, strategic marketing, product marketing, management consulting, or business strategy in high-tech industries
Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous information into clear insights and recommendations
Outstanding written and oral communication skills with strong executive presentation capabilities
Proven ability to think strategically while executing tactically; experience with highly technical products and influencing product/go-to-market strategy through research insights

Responsibilities

Market Research & Sizing: develop methodologies to assess market sizing and opportunity; identify potential new logo targets; analyze market dynamics; synthesize findings into actionable insights
Customer Research & Insights: design and execute qualitative and quantitative research; conduct in-depth interviews with engineers, enterprise buyers, and technical evaluators; lead VoC programs
Industry & Segmentation Analysis: identify and prioritize industry verticals and segments; assess technology trends and dynamics; partner with product and strategy teams
Competitive Intelligence: monitor competitor roadmaps, pricing, GTM, partnerships, acquisitions, financial performance, and organizational changes; provide strategic recommendations to differentiate products and strengthen market positioning
