Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation seeks a New Business Market Development Manager (MDM) for CA to drive store growth through strategic development, investor relations, and retail partnerships. You will lead prospecting, feasibility, LOIs, and financing steps with an emphasis on closing opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in retail/real estate or market development, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to travel extensively while maintaining excellent relationships with

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in retailing, franchising, real estate or market development work.
College Degree in business preferred but not required.
Ability to develop, secure, and close a new store and/or conversion opportunity.
Strong negotiation skills.
Strong presentation skills to a variety of audiences including investors, brokers, lenders and retailers.

Responsibilities

Recruit, educate, and motivate potential candidates and retailers, develop business plans, and close opportunities.
Execute operating procedures from Interest-to-Application, including LOI and financing steps.
Develop the market by pursuing real estate, investor, and acquisition prospects and building strong relationships.
