Job summary

Ace Hardware Corporation seeks a New Business Market Development Manager (MDM) for California to lead the store growth strategy and expand Ace’s market share. You will manage the business development process in your region and coordinate with retailers, investors, and real estate partners to close opportunities.

This role requires at least five years in retailing or market development, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and willingness to travel 3–4 days per week, with a company car

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in retailing, franchising, real estate or market development work.
• Ability to develop, secure, and close a new store and/or conversion opportunity.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills to a variety of audiences including investors, brokers, lenders and retailers.
• Driving a company vehicle and meeting license eligibility; willing to travel 3–4 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, educate, and motivate potential candidates; evaluate prospects and close opportunities.
• Execute operating procedures from Interest-to-Application, including market analysis, proforma, LOI, and financing steps.
• Develop the market by pursuing opportunities with investors, retailers, and real estate sites; build momentum with stakeholders.
