Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three+ years buyer experience in a manufacturing organization.
• Proficient knowledge of purchasing concepts and procedures.
• Understanding of materials and supply chain management functions.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of ERP-LX.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, ordering, communication of demand/volume/delivery requirements, issue resolution, follow up on backorders.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders in accordance with Plasser American’s standards.
• Research items for price and verification of specifications.
• Source materials and suppliers as required to achieve corporate goals.
• Negotiate contracts to obtain material from suppliers at lowest cost while considering quality, lead time and reliability of source.
