Job summary

Plasser American Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Buyer to manage supplier relationships, process purchase orders and source materials to meet cost and quality targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role involves negotiating contracts, resolving discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. ABachelor degree in a related field and several years of buying experience in manufacturing are preferred, with strong ERP and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three+ years buyer experience in a manufacturing organization.
Proficient knowledge of purchasing concepts and procedures.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers through ordering, communication of demand and delivery requirements.
Ensure accurate processing of purchase orders in line with company standards.
Source materials and suppliers to meet corporate goals and negotiate contracts for lowest cost.
Handle back orders, back order lists, and overdue variances.
Participate in continuous improvement and vendor qualification activities.
