Job summary

CK Power, a family-owned power solutions provider in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Buyer to manage purchasing for the corporation and facility functions. You’ll evaluate vendors, issue and track purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years buying experience in manufacturing, plus MRP and inventory control skills; associate degree preferred, bachelor’s helpful. You will collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years buying experience for manufacturing.
• MRP experience required; ability to use ERP/MRP for purchasing.
• Inventory control experience is essential.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; learn MRP systems.
• Mechanical knowledge to discuss drawings with vendors.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; self-starter mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and confirm purchase orders; maintain transaction records in MRP.
• Fulfill special purchase orders and issue POs from multiple sources.
• Source quotes; compare pricing, specs and delivery dates for cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot orders, expedite supplies, and track delivery status.
• Access engineering documents for vendor communications; coordinate internally.
• Create/modify Item Cards in internal systems from mechanical drawings.
• Collaborate with departments to meet purchasing needs.
