Job summary

Zscaler is seeking a Manager, Commercial Sales Engineering, Central, to lead and grow the sales engineering organization across the United States, reporting to the Director of Sales Engineering. The role emphasizes scaling core processes, mentoring teams, and aligning with GTM leadership to close strategic deals.

The ideal candidate will drive value-based selling in a matrixed environment, bring cybersecurity expertise, and demonstrate strong leadership in a dynamic, AI-forward security company.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance workflows.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience with a proven track record in sales or systems engineering with experience managing and directing a sales engineering team.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and talent development.
• Technical expertise in cybersecurity and networking.
• Proven ability to communicate value-based selling in a matrixed GTM environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, and develop the sales engineering team
• Refine and scale core sales engineering processes including discovery, technical qualification, and proof-of-concept
• Partner with sales leadership and clients to design and present business solutions that drive revenue growth
• Work within a matrixed environment to promote and support the Zscaler portfolio through value-based selling
