Job summary

Smithfield Foods in Minnesota is seeking a dual-role Maintenance Planning and CMMS leader to oversee and drive the maintenance work control process. You will prioritize work orders, develop detailed plans, manage parts, tools, and staff, and guide both Smithfield employees and contractors.

As the CMMS owner at the plant, you’ll ensure systems run smoothly, support safety programs, train personnel, and lead in process safety management and compliance, while reporting on progress and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Planning & Execution: plan maintenance, prioritize work orders, review and update CMMS history, generate reports.
• Training & Personnel Management: train maintenance staff, assist contractor qualifications.
• Process Safety Management (PSM) & Compliance: manage OSHA/PSM documentation and compliance tasks.
• Reporting & Documentation: support annual program goals and audits, maintain compliance documents.
• Leadership: provide leadership to the Maintenance Department.
