Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a maintenance planning and CMMS leader to oversee and drive the entire maintenance work control process at the plant level. You will prioritize work, develop detailed plans, supervise skilled hourly staff, and provide equipment expertise to improve maintenance activities.

You will own and manage the CMMS system, support safety programs, and occasionally lead teams of Smithfield employees and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan maintenance and optimize scheduling while complying with OSHA, EPA, USDA rules.
• Train maintenance staff and manage contractor qualifications.
• Coordinate and document maintenance activities in CMMS; provide leadership.
• Produce reports on progress, schedules, and workforce needs.
