Job summary

Smithfield Foods in Mason City, IA, is seeking a Maintenance Planning & CMMS Manager to oversee maintenance work control and ensure efficient operations at the plant. You will develop detailed job plans, prioritize work orders, manage CMMS data, and lead both Smithfield employees and contractors while supporting safety and regulatory programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with CMMS and MS Office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Working knowledge of basic computer skills, Internet and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Plan maintenance work and prioritize tasks for efficiency.
Maintain CMMS data, equipment history, and generate progress reports.
Manage MRO inventory, parts disbursements, returns, and audits.
Lead maintenance staff and coordinate with contractors.
Support safety programs and regulatory compliance (PSM, OSHA, EPA, USDA).
Develop operating procedures and change controls, and provide leadership to the Maintenance Department.
