Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Manager to join our Transaction Services Tax team in any of our offices. You will develop and implement transaction advisory services for clients with complex financial needs across private equity, banks and corporate entities.

You will interact with Partners, model transactions, prepare memoranda, and lead due diligence and structuring efforts while delivering exceptional client service and contributing to firm marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field; graduate degree accepted.
• 2+ years in a mid to large-size professional services firm.
• CPA or JD/LLM required.
• Experience in tax due diligence, deal structuring and post-acquisition planning.
• Analytical, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills; proficient in MS Office.
• Strong written communication and client service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with Partners on client and engagement matters.
• Model financial transactions for valuation, structuring and negotiation.
• Prepare memoranda and presentations describing client attributes.
• Assist in review and analysis of tax aspects of acquisitions and draft opinions.
• Identify tax risks and advise on alternative strategies for transactions.
• Review tax computations in financial models and support projections.
• Data gathering, document review and report preparation.
• Research and financial analysis of target companies.
• Due diligence for buy-side and sell-side deals.
• Transaction structuring for tax and accounting issues.
• Negotiation support and client communication.
• Participate in marketing and recruiting activities.
