Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Manager to join the Transaction Services Tax team. Open to location, you will develop and implement transaction advisory services for diverse clients, including privately held and publicly traded companies, private equity and banks.

In this role, you will interact with Partners, model financial transactions, and contribute to due diligence, structuring and tax analysis across acquisitions and restructurings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field; or a graduate degree with 2 years of related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience in a mid to large-size professional services firm.
• CPA or JD/LLM required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proven client service orientation and ethical commitment.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with Partners on client and engagement management.
• Model financial transactions for valuation, structuring and negotiation.
• Prepare memos and presentations on client companies and industries.
• Assist in tax aspects of acquisitions, mergers and tax opinions.
• Identify and analyze tax risks and opportunities while advising on alternative tax strategies.
• Review, assess and advise on tax computations in financial models and projections.
• Data gathering, document review and preparation of reports.
• Research & financial analysis of target companies.
• Due diligence for buy- and sell-side transactions.
• Transaction structuring for tax and accounting issues.
• Negotiation support and client communication to ensure service quality.
