Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Manager to join our Transaction Services Tax team. You will develop and implement transaction advisory services to clients to meet complex financial needs. Open to location.

You will interact with Partners, model financial transactions for valuation, prepare detailed memos, and advise on tax aspects of acquisitions and mergers. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field; or a graduate degree with 4 years of related work experience.
• 5+ years of work experience in a mid to large size professional services firm.
• CPA or JD/LLM required; tax due diligence and deal structuring experience preferred.
• Strong written communication and ability to deliver exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with Partners on matters related to client and engagement management.
• Modeling financial transactions used in valuation, structuring and negotiation.
• Prepare memoranda and presentations describing key attributes of client companies and industries.
• Assist in review and analysis of tax aspects of acquisition and merger agreements.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities while advising on alternative tax strategies.
• Review tax computations in financial models; analyze tax data in projections.
• Data gathering, document review and report preparation.
• Due diligence for buy-side and sell-side transactions; transaction structuring for tax and accounting issues.
• Negotiation support and communication with business owners; assist in marketing and recruiting activities.
