Job summary

Beacon Communications is seeking a cost estimator for low voltage construction projects in the West region, with a strong focus on bid preparation and detailed cost analysis. The role bridges sales and operations to ensure smooth transitions from proposal to project execution.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of estimating experience in low voltage systems, NICET certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Hybrid work arrangement and occasional travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in low voltage estimating or project budgeting.
• Experience with low voltage systems including Edwards Fire, Rauland-Borg, Hugs, Lenel, Open Options, Milestone, Software House, Hirsch.
• NICET Level 1 or higher.
• Must be self-motivated and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Predict the expense of future projects or products by analyzing monetary costs and other factors.
• Break down all expenses related to a project including materials, labor, and other resources.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Perform onsite investigations before, during and after a project.
• Bid management: Prepare clear proposals, manage deadlines, and submit RFIs when scopes are unclear.
