Job summary

Shareco Communications in Grand Rapids seeks a skilled Low Voltage Estimator to prepare project-specific construction estimates from plans and specifications for commercial and industrial projects.

You will oversee RFQs, review bid documents, and manage the estimating process from start to finish, including cost evaluation of labor, materials, and subcontractors. This role supports program development and maintains estimating databases while collaborating with project teams to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years estimating experience on commercial and industrial projects.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and major estimating programs (Accubid preferred).

Responsibilities

• Produce project-specific construction estimates from plans and specifications.
• Oversee RFQ process from bid document review to submission.
• Develop and maintain estimating programs and databases.
• Evaluate labor and material costs and subcontracting options.
• Submit RFIs and track responses.
• Collaborate with management to ensure bid accuracy.
