Job summary

Structure Tone International is seeking a Low Voltage Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for low-voltage systems including structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, AV, wireless networks, and DAS for NYC projects. You will analyze drawings, perform takeoffs, and develop proposals to support bid-winning opportunities.

The role requires 3+ years in estimating, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with low-voltage tech; you will work from our Manhattan office and collaborate

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating experience in low-voltage, electrical, or technology construction.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling, access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion, networking, AV, or related systems.
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, bid documents, and scope requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for low-voltage systems.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor cost estimates.
• Prepare complete project budgets and bid proposals.
• Evaluate risks, assumptions, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
• Analyze addenda and incorporate revisions into bids.
• Maintain current pricing databases for labor, materials, and subcontracted work.
