Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen seeks a Logistics Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership for inland logistics across North America, including last-mile, truck, and rail transportation. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal departments, external partners, carriers, contractors, and OEM stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient execution.

The position manages carrier and contractor performance across cost, service, capacity, communication, claims support, and on-time

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in planning and directing operations.
• 3 years managing the employee lifecycle (interviewing, hiring, performance, promotions, development, terminations, moves).
• Ability to interpret diagrams and repair manuals.
• Understand revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results.
• SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Clean driving record and ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to meet wholesale delivery targets by forecasting capacity and aligning resources.
• Provide daily direction to teams to ensure accurate vehicle revenue recognition.
• Lead digital/IT projects to improve logistics and customer experience.
• Manage onboarding of new carriers and ensure compliance with Nissan requirements.
• Collaborate with SCM, Quality, IS/IT, and Finance to improve performance and system connectivity.
