Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen seeks a Logistics Operations Manager to lead inland logistics across North America, coordinating last-mile, truck, and rail activities. You will drive capacity planning, resource alignment, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Vehicle Operations, and partners.

You will oversee onboarding of carriers, ensure compliance with Nissan requirements, and push continuous improvement across systems, processes, and performance. A demanding role with strategic impact.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in planning and directing operations.
• At least 3 years experience managing the employee lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, development, terminations, and moves.
• Ability to interpret diagrams and repair manuals.
• Understand revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results.
• Familiarity with SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to meet wholesale delivery targets by forecasting capacity and aligning resources.
• Provide daily direction to teams across North America to ensure accurate vehicle revenue recognition for Nissan.
• Lead the implementation of Nissan and WW digital/IT projects to improve logistics and workflows.
• Manage end-to-end onboarding of new carriers, ensuring compliance with Nissan requirements and reducing risk.
• Partner with SCM, Quality, IS/IT, and Finance to drive cost efficiency, improve system connectivity, and enhance performance.
