Job summary

Crane in Houston, TX seeks an Account Operations Coordinator - Shift C to serve as the operational point of contact for an assigned customer account. Convert customer demand into bookings in TMF, review open loads, and ensure bookings are complete at first release.

You will own all customer communications, coordinate with capacity and operations teams, manage appointment scheduling, and escalate issues with data-driven rationale. This role requires attention to detail and TMS experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; associate or bachelor in logistics preferred.
• 2–4 years in freight, 3PL, or transportation operations.
• Ability to own a customer relationship operationally.
• Experience reading a load/shipment board and making consolidation judgments.
• Hands-on experience with TMS including e2open TMF and Descartes Aljex.
• Working knowledge of US domestic ground freight modes (FTL, LTL, intermodal).

Responsibilities

• Receive and interpret booking requests and dates.
• Build orders in the customer order platform and TMF.
• Validate bookings for completeness at first release.
• Coordinate TMF templates, new BOLs, and related updates with Outbound Specialist.
• Review open loads for consolidation before booking creation.
• Communicate with customers and schedule appointments.
• Escalate operational exceptions with facts and impact.
• Monitor Aljex, Open Dock, and site boards for exceptions.
• Support cargo-security communications and issue escalation.
• Provide proactive notifications of at-risk shipments.
