Job summary

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough is seeking a Litigation Docketing Specialist in California to enter case information, deadlines, and activity into CompuLaw Vision with strict adherence to firm procedures. You will work with attorneys and staff to maintain accurate calendaring for federal, state, and agency matters.

The ideal candidate has a paralegal certificate or equivalent experience, at least 2 years of docketing in a law firm, and strong detail orientation.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited college or university or paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of docketing experience in a law firm setting.
• Familiarity with rules-based calendaring software and deadlines in federal/state courts.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills, and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Independently enter case information, activity, and deadlines into CompuLaw Vision.
• Respond to requests from attorneys and staff regarding deadlines and court rules.
• Conduct jurisdictional research and provide summaries to case teams under supervision as needed.
• Ensure calendaring is accurate and completed in a timely manner and generate reports for review.
• Contribute ideas to improve department procedures and workflow.
