Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Licensing Manager to lead licensing and permitting for new store openings, remodels, relocations, and ongoing operations.

You will develop strategies to streamline license procurement, manage applications, renewals, and invoicing, and serve as the organization’s licensing SME across cross-functional teams.

The role reports to the Store Support Office in Phoenix with a hybrid schedule (in-office Tue–Thu).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Public Policy, or related field.
• 5+ years of licensing, permitting, regulatory compliance experience in retail/hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of municipal, state, and federal licensing laws.
• Analytical with attention to detail; strong communication and decision-making.
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end licensing and permitting for new stores, remodels, relocations, and operations.
• Develop strategies to streamline license procurement and renewal timelines.
• Serve as licensing subject matter expert advising stakeholders.
• Manage license applications, renewals, invoices, and data forms.
• Maintain licensing database and track licenses/ renewals.
• Resolve licensing issues with agencies and attorneys; coordinate enforcement responses.
