Job summary

United Community seeks a Relationship Manager in Mobile, AL to provide lending services within bank policies and build strong customer relationships. You will promote deposit and credit products, deliver high-quality service, and refer opportunities across lines of business.

You will interview loan applicants, collect required information, order reports, and analyze lending requests while staying compliant with evolving regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related area preferred.
• Experience in a financial institution preferred.
• Knowledge of consumer credit structuring and lending practices.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability and business development focus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Must complete compliance training including BSA/AML training.
• NMLS initial registration and annual renewal required.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with bank products and look for opportunities to develop new customer relationships using need-based sales.
• Interview consumer loan applicants and request information for loan applications.
• Accept loan applications and notify applicants of loan decisions.
• Order credit reports and recommend loan terms.
• Review, analyze, and process consumer lending requests in compliance with policies.
• Work past dues, loan exceptions, and criticized asset reports.
• Develop and maintain interest rate structures consistent with bank policies.
• Use independent judgment and discretion based on lending authority.
• Stay abreast of current and developing regulations applicable to lending.
• Provide efficient, accurate, and high-quality service while maintaining good customer relations.
• Support others through mentoring and attending sales and developmental meetings.
• Attend and serve in community functions, boards, and committees as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
