Job summary

United Community in Huntsville, AL seeks a Banking Relationship professional to generate and manage a diverse business client portfolio with annual sales above $5 million. You will cultivate profitable relationships, assess credit needs, and coordinate loan and cash management services.

Responsibilities include meeting targets, guiding credit analysts, closing loans, and representing the bank in community activities. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in banking are expected; travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or accounting preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three years’ banking experience in credit analysis or lending.
• Analytical ability to review complex financial statements and credit data.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Participation in required compliance training (BSA/AML) and other programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and retain profitable client relationships.
• Develop new business through active calling on clients and prospects.
• Develop and maintain a strong COI network.
• Research and develop leads using tools like Vertical IQ or Business Browser.
• Manage individual production versus assigned goals.
• Recommend structure, terms, and rate for loans being underwritten.
• Provide guidance to credit analysts.
• Manage loan closing process including term sheets and closing communications.
