Job summary

The Legal Operations & Contracts Manager at Barton Malow leads the review, negotiation, and governance of routine subcontracts and purchase orders, guided by established playbooks and counsel escalation. You own the legal tech stack—Ironclad, Monday.com, and Legal Tracker—and build workflows and AI-assisted tools to reduce attorney workload while keeping records accurate and accessible.

You will deliver dashboards, training, and process improvements to help teams manage risk and work more

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Five years of relevant contracts/legal ops experience.
• Experience negotiating commercial or construction agreements.
• Experience with contract lifecycle systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-pass review of subcontract addenda and subcontractor redlines against playbooks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate routine agreements within established playbooks.
• Maintain and improve contract playbooks, templates, and clause guidance with counsel.
• Coordinate contract execution and ensure proper storage and accessibility.
• Own Legal intake and triage; design workflows in Ironclad and Monday.com.
• Manage Legal Tracker for matter setup, invoicing workflows, and reporting.
• Build automations and AI tools to remove routine work with human checks.
• Prepare dashboards and reports on workload, cycle times, and status.
