Job summary

The Leave and Retirement Plan Administration Manager at Busey Bank in Edwardsville, IL, is responsible for the strategy, administration, and compliance of all leave programs (FMLA, ADA, workers’ comp) and the retirement program. Reporting to the Managing Director of Benefits and Wellness, you will lead policy development and ensure excellent service to internal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–4 years of experience in leave administration, HR compliance, or benefits operations
• Deep knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and related regulations
• Experience managing complex leave and accommodation cases
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
• Knowledge of retirement plans and related regulations
• Experience managing retirement plan administration

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization’s leave administration strategy.
• Lead administration of all leave programs including FMLA and personal leaves.
• Ensure programs are consistent, equitable, and compliant with policies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws including FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation.
• Partner with Legal, HR, and Risk Management to mitigate risk.
• Maintain up-to-date regulatory knowledge and adjust policies accordingly.
• Oversee administration of short and long-term disability and life insurance claims.
• Coordinate with the vendor for timely follow-up and processing of claims.
• Provide associate support for a seamless experience.
• Oversee interactive ADA accommodations process and implement effectively.
• Partner with leaders to implement accommodations and guide complex cases.
• Lead workers’ compensation program administration and return-to-work efforts.
• Develop and execute retirement plan administration including enrollment and distributions.
• Ensure ERISA/IRS/DOL compliance and assist with audits and disclosures.
