Job summary

Howard University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions seeks an Associate Director of Admission to lead undergraduate recruitment across assigned regions. The role will develop travel strategies, support a team of admission officers, and track enrollment metrics toward cycle goals.

The position reports to senior leadership, supervises multiple directors, and requires a strong customer-service mindset with strategic initiative. In-person work on campus with travel around September–April.

Qualifications

• Masters preferred; Bachelors required in any field.
• 10+ years working in undergraduate admission.
• 5 years managerial experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic technology.
• Experience with Technolutions Slate; Workday Student experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current and historical enrollment trends across territories to develop a strategy that serves the University's enrollment goals.
• Develop and execute the recruitment and travel strategy for the assigned region and oversee admission officers.
• Manage, train, and develop a team of admission counselors.
• Evaluate ROI on travel and recruiting expenses.
• Meet yearly enrollment goals for territory and provide exceptional customer service to prospective students.
