Job summary

Lumen seeks a seasoned Senior Director of Corporate Ethics and Compliance to lead the company’s ethics and compliance programs, investigations, and risk oversight. You will shape policy, train leaders, and ensure adherence to laws and guidelines across our enterprise.

With 10+ years in ethics and investigations, you will partner with audit and management, implement whistleblower processes, and deliver strategic guidance to executives while maintaining the highest standards of integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in ethics and compliance, corporate investigations, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful ethics and compliance programs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• High level of integrity and ethical judgment.
• JD Degree from an accredited law school.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive ethics and compliance programs aligned to the Corporate Sentencing Guidelines.
• Oversee internal whistleblower hotline and quarterly Board reporting; report to the Risk Committee on status of compliance obligations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with internal audit on compliance matters and monitor remediation.
• Oversee corporate investigations team to respond to violations and misconduct.
• Develop processes for ongoing monitoring of potential noncompliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior management on ethics and compliance matters.
• Develop and deliver training programs to promote a culture of ethics and compliance.
