Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Head of CHB Operations, Northeast, to oversee a large-scale customs brokerage operation across multiple locations. The role focuses on safe, compliant, customer-focused execution and driving growth with a leadership team of 50–75+ colleagues.

You will shape a future-ready operation by leveraging technology, automation, AI, and continuous improvement to enhance performance and customer experience. This is a full-time position reporting to the Head of US Customs.

Qualifications

• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker required.
• 10+ years in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or global trade operations.
• Experience leading large-scale operational teams and multi-site environments.
• Experience managing teams of 25+ employees (50+ preferred).
• Strong background in workforce planning and cost control.
• Experience with transformation, automation, or AI initiatives desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-site Customs Brokerage Operations across the Northeast.
• Develop and coach operational leaders; build a high-performing org.
• Drive workforce planning, staffing strategies, capacity management.
• Build and maintain strategic customer relationships for retention and growth.
• Monitor performance via KPI management, productivity analysis, and service reviews.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Commercial, Finance, HR, Technology, and Operations.
• Leverage technology, automation, and AI to improve outcomes.
