Job summary

nVent is seeking a senior professional to lead external reporting, ensuring timely SEC filings and compliance with U.S. GAAP. You will drive quarterly reviews, coordinate audits, and manage complex accounting issues across a global finance team.

You will also oversee M&A accounting, impairment analyses, and pension valuations, collaborating with FP&A, Legal, and IR. Emphasis on process improvements and strong confidentiality in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Experience with mergers & acquisitions accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for external use per SEC and GAAP.
• Lead quarterly reviews and annual audit process.
• Research and document accounting implications of complex transactions.
• Maintain global accounting policies and procedures.
• Support acquisition due diligence and purchase price accounting for M&A projects.
• Lead impairment analyses and pension plan valuation.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations to align financial results.
• Identify process improvements in external reporting and systems.
• Lead hedging, derivatives, stock-based compensation, and leases accounting.
