Qualifications

• 5+ years of controls, audit, accounting, or finance experience.
• CPA or equivalent professional designation preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in external financial reporting and technical on complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Leads the team responsible for the preparation and review of Nuveen's quarterly and annual audited financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinates with external auditors, legal, tax, and other stakeholders to facilitate audit and reporting cycles.
• Provides authoritative guidance on accounting implications of complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and restructurings.
• Leads technical accounting assessments for proposed transactions and documents conclusions in formal memos.
