Qualifications

• 5+ years of controls, audit, accounting, or finance experience.
• 7+ years of controls, audit, accounting, or finance experience preferred.
• CPA or equivalent professional designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team responsible for preparation and review of Nuveen's quarterly and annual audited financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, legal, tax, and other stakeholders to facilitate audits and reporting.
• Provide authoritative guidance on complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and new product launches.
• Lead technical accounting assessments, document conclusions, and communicate findings to senior leadership.
• Monitor and interpret emerging accounting standards and regulatory developments; drive implementation with leadership.
• Partner with FP&A to align investor relations reporting with audited results.
• Oversee Oracle FCCS change management, data integrity, and system controls.
