Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Lead Counsel to negotiate and close enterprise SaaS agreements and provide strategic legal guidance to go-to-market teams.

The role requires drafting excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage complex negotiations with customers and platform partners. The successful candidate will have a JD from an ABA-accredited school, 4+ years of related experience, and the ability to work in an in-office setting at Jacksonville, FL

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school and member in good standing in applicable state bar association.
• 4+ years law firm and/or in-house experience, preferably counseling a technology company (SaaS commercial contracting).
• Prior in-house experience with enterprise SaaS commercial contracting highly preferred.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead diverse teams through complex negotiations of enterprise sales deals, keeping all tasks organized and stakeholders clearly informed of deliverables and timelines.
• Comfort with handling topics such as revenue recognition, data privacy, and information security in customer contracts (partnering with relevant subject matter experts as necessary).
• Ability to understand business objectives and think creatively to find practical resolutions.
• Self-starter and able to work well independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and close a variety of commercial agreements, with focus on enterprise SaaS agreements.
• Gain a detailed understanding of the company’s solutions to ensure alignment with contracts.
• Act as a strategic partner and advisor, providing thoughtful and prompt legal and business guidance to internal go-to-market stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other members of the legal team to address needs including contracting with platform partners and managing informal disputes.
