Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Land Purchasing Manager in Florida to oversee contracting of land development vendors, review civil plans, and ensure compliance with Lennar Land Development standards.

You will collaborate with Project Managers to keep development budgets current, oversee bids, issue contracts, forecast expenditures, and maintain strong vendor partnerships while ensuring documentation and budgets align with company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in land development, purchasing, construction and/or estimating.
• Superior analytical and communication skills.
• Significant knowledge of residential development and homebuilding.
• Financial management knowledge and project management skills.
• Sound negotiating and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review civil construction drawings and provide feedback to ensure Lennar standards.
• Work with Project Managers to keep development budgets current and accurate.
• Oversee bidding to ensure best price, quality, and performance.
• Issue contracts and work orders with proper budgeting and line items.
• Track issued contracts and work orders against the development budget.
• Assist in forecasting expenditures for cash-flow modeling.
• Monitor material cost trends and respond with plans.
• Manage vendor relationships and build partnerships.
• Provide purchasing information for coordination with other departments.
• Assist in cost estimates with land acquisition for feasibility.
• Maintain purchasing files and documentation for policy compliance.
• Update Project Manager ratings of vendor performance.
